TL;DR

October 2026 brings more control over how you create, refine, and share Palmata reports. The updates cover a dedicated report workspace, flexible rerun schedules, editable brand data, citation views, slide-ready PDF exports, organization management, and display settings.

Key takeaways:

  • Build and preview reports in a dedicated workspace, then save drafts or reuse settings from an earlier plan.
  • Set report rerun schedules and correct brand or competitor entries without changing the original AI answers.
  • Compare citation counts by researched question or by individual citation, and export report findings as a slide-ready PDF.
  • Manage organizations and access in one workspace, copy completed reports without new report-generation credits, and personalize display settings.

October’s Palmata updates make it easier to take a report from setup to shared decisions. Build and refine your analysis with more control, then bring findings to your team with new export, organization, and accessibility options.

Build reports in a dedicated workspace

Creating a report now has its own page instead of a pop-up window. Set your brand name, website domains, report type, and available AI answer engines in one place.

Use Steering instructions to tell Palmata what you want to investigate, create filters, then preview sample topics and questions before building the full report. You can also reuse settings from a previous plan or save a draft to finish later.

Improved control over report rerun schedule

You can now set a repeat schedule right after creating a report and change it later. Choose how often it runs in days, weeks, or months. Organization owners and admins can also set a default schedule.

Rerun your steered report more often around a specific launch, or leave more time between reports for ongoing monitoring. Adjust the schedule as your priorities change.

Edit the brands and competitors in your report

You can now edit the brands, companies, and other entries in your Brand Positioning table. Correct a name, add another name a brand goes by, update its website domains, or combine duplicate entries. You can also add missing entries and undo changes through revision history.

Not every entry is a company. AI answers may discuss a category or approach as an alternative to your product. You can edit those entries too, so the comparison better reflects your market knowledge.

These edits help Palmata associate mentions and citations with the right brand or alternative. They don’t change the original AI answers.

Choose how to count citations

In Brand Positioning, you can now choose how to count citations, the sources AI answers reference. Count how many researched questions produce an answer citing your brand’s sources, or count every individual citation to those sources.

For example, if an answer cites three of your brand’s sources, it counts as one in the default view or three when you turn on “Count all citations instead of prompts with a citation.”

Use the default view to see how widely your sources appear across the questions researched. Switch views to see the total number of citations instead.

Share your report as a PDF

Download your report as a PDF laid out as presentation slides. It includes Brand Perception, Strategic Analysis, Topics, and Recommendations, so you can bring the findings to a meeting or send them to colleagues.

The PDF also explains what the report examined, including the AI answer engines, search locations, languages, and any saved Steering instructions. Each topic’s overview and strongest and weakest questions stay together on one slide.

Share it with the people who own the content or decisions behind a recommendation, with the research context included.

Manage your organizations and their members in one place

If your teams use separate organizations in Palmata, owners and admins can now manage them from one Organizations workspace. See which people belong to each organization, what roles they have, and which invitations or access requests need attention.

Invite colleagues, change roles, and create or rename organizations. You can also move organizations within your company’s structure as teams change.

Use one place to review who has access where, then make changes for the teams that need them.

Copy reports to another organization

Another team needs a report you’ve already built? You can now copy completed reports into another organization without spending additional report-generation credits. Your saved edits, including report titles and descriptions, come with the copy.

Choose Duplicate on a completed report, select an organization you’re allowed to copy it into, and choose which report versions to include.

This reuses the research you’ve already completed; it doesn’t run a new analysis.

Improved accessibility with theme and report color controls

To support better readability and visual accessibility, you can now choose between light or dark themes, or let Palmata automatically adapt to your system settings. We’ve also enhanced visual clarity by allowing you to customize color indicators for key metrics, such as positive and negative perception, with distinct settings tailored for both light and dark display modes.

Configure these accessibility options under your user Settings. Your personalized display preferences persist across all organizations without affecting other team members or your organization’s default branding.
